POOKIE’S is fueled by meaningful collaborations with other women-owned businesses having distinct yet complementary practices, tastes, and expertise. By joining forces, we aim to design alternative ways of creating & consuming while delivering unforgettable everyday pieces.

Drawing influences by R. Crumb, Marc Chagall, the Folley Cove Designers, R. B. Kitaj, Alice Neel, Al Hirschfeld, Ben Shahn, Joaquín Torres García, Lenore Tawney, Louise Nevelson, and most significantly, her father, teacher, and artist Mark Symczak, Lenora’s work has been featured in galleries, books, posters, menus, newsletters, storefronts, brand logos, and more.
Kate ricketson
Based in the south coast of Massachusetts, Kate is an artist and founder of RICKETSON PRINTS, a fine art print and textile studio. Her collections feature limited-edition hand-carved woodblock prints and hand-printed tabletop linens inspired by the natural landscape and seasonal rhythms of oceanside places. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and printed with oil based inks on 100% European linen or various papers, bringing an artistic and tactile sense of place to your table. These functional textiles are meant to enrich gatherings and spark connection, reflecting the brand’s blend of craftsmanship, memory, and landscape.
Based in New York’s Garment District and Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Mary Symczak is a tailor, illustrator, fashion designer, and founder of MARY SYMCZAK DESIGNS (formerly SUSAN NEW YORK DESIGN). With an early career start, taking high school courses at FIT at age 14, Mary completed her BFA at FIT (including study in Italy) and gained real-world experience through internships with major houses like Oscar de la Renta, Calvin Klein Collection, and The Row. Inspired by her father - artist and set designer Mark Symczak - her one-of-a-kind pieces are crafted from natural-fibre discarded dead stock, often hand dyed with natural dyes. Carefully designed for women with practical daily needs and who embrace eco-consciousness, comfort, pattern, and freedom, Mary’s work has been featured in modern dance performances, runway shows such as Vancouver Fashion Week, and product design for repurposed Turkish rug lifestyle brand RES IPSA USA.
